COTA Commercial

48 Hours. One Commercial. No Excuses.

This project wasn’t built in a studio — it was built in a storm of vision, instinct, and execution. I had just 48 hours to create a commercial for Circuit of the Americas as part of a class in my master’s program, and I refused to play it safe.

No production crew. No professional film setup. Just me, my archive of home footage, a few AI tools, and a clear sense of what I wanted the viewer to feel.

I started with what I had — real, unscripted moments from my own life — and used them to anchor the piece in authenticity. Runway helped bring cinematic motion to basic clips. Sora let me prototype visual concepts I couldn’t capture on the spot. ChatGPT became my creative partner — refining scripts, transitions, and helping me carve out a story that didn’t just promote a track, but told a story about movement, legacy, and purpose.

Then I brought in ElevenLabs for the voiceover — sharp, grounded, and expressive. It gave the piece the emotional depth and presence I needed without a recording studio.

The result? A commercial that moved fast, hit hard, and spoke honestly.

I didn’t submit this project just to check a box. I submitted it because I wanted to prove that creativity, when paired with resourcefulness and clear vision, can outpace traditional methods.

This was more than an assignment. It was a reminder:

You don’t need all the right tools to make something powerful — you just need the courage to start, the vision to follow through, and the audacity to finish strong.
